Foster Poultry Farms Recalls Poultry Products

Class I recall as of April 29, 2016 – Foster Poultry Farms is recalling approximately 220,450 pounds of pre-cooked frozen chicken nuggets due to possible contamination with extraneous blue plastic and black rubber materials.

Items being recalled are:

  • 5-lb. bags containing FOSTER FARMS “Breast Nuggets – Nugget Shaped Breaded Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat” with best by dates of 2/21/17 and 3/8/17.
  • 10-lb. bulk boxes containing FOSTER FARMS “Fully Cooked Breast Nuggets – Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat Fritters” with package code 6053 and 6068.

The items were shipped to Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah and Washington state.  The company received several consumer complaints, and although there are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these materials, the company is urging consumers to not eat these products and to return them to the place of purchase or discard them.
