Remember learning to ride a bike? The training wheels you were reluctant to let your parents remove for fear of crashing to the ground?
Well there is a simple method to teach your kids to ride their bike; teach them to balance first. Training wheels may teach kids how to coordinate between steering and peddling, but balance is the key to learning to ride a bike quickly. Either start them off with a balance bike or remove the pedals from a regular bike, and watch them start to ride quickly.
Keep in mind, it is always good to have an excited and eager participant, so make it fun and start practicing in a safe and slightly sloped environment. Make sure kids are dressed properly with a helmet, tennis shoes and clothes that won’t get caught in the gears.
