Join National Geographic Society and National Park Service and explore the interconnectedness of plants, animals, environment, and the people using the art of experiential learning. The event is a free 2-day experience with scientists, students, Hawaiian cultural practitioners, and the public.  Small groups dispersed throughout the park will be taking inventory of plants and animals in the 3333,086 acre area, from the coastline to the summit of Kilauea volcano. The festival is part science endeavor and part cultural.

BioBlitz Introduction Video shows you how it’s done. Even if you are not able to head over to the island, you can do this in your own back yard. So get out and explore your world!
